Ingredients
  

Chicken

  • 3-4 pieces chicken breasts diced
  • 1/3 cup corn starch

Sauce

  • 1 cup water
  • 2-3 tbsp sriracha adjust for spice preference
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2-3 tbsp honey adjust for sweetness
  • 2 tbsp corn starch for thickening sauce
  • 2 tbsp cold water for mixing with corn starch

Optional

  • crushed red pepper flakes to taste
  • cooked rice for serving

Instructions
 

  • In a small-medium saucepan, combine the 1 cup of water, sriracha, soy sauce, garlic, sugar, and honey. Stir well and bring to a boil over medium heat.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons corn starch and 2 tablespoons cold water until smooth. Add to the saucepan and stir until the sauce thickens. Reduce heat to low and keep warm.
  • Place diced chicken and 1/3 cup corn starch in a large plastic bag. Seal and shake to coat evenly.
  • Heat a large skillet with a drizzle of oil over medium heat. Add coated chicken and sauté until browned and fully cooked through.
  • Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked chicken. Stir gently until all pieces are coated and glossy.
  • Sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes if desired and serve over warm cooked rice.

Notes

For extra flavor, try adding a splash of lime juice or garnish with green onions. Adjust the sriracha and honey to balance the spice and sweetness to your liking.
